Shymbulak resort in Kazakhstan entered the Guinness Book of Records

The authorities of Kazakhstan reported that the Shymbulak ski resort was included in the Guinness Book of Records as the resort with the highest night ski slope in the world.

This achievement was officially recorded by the representative of the Guinness Book of Records, who confirmed the compliance of the track with all the necessary requirements.

The achievement was recorded at the Talgar Pass station at an altitude of 3,200 m - this is the highest point of Shymbulak. After the solemn ceremony, a mass descent of residents and guests of Almaty took place along the record-breaking slope. This four-kilometer track with full night lighting was built in six months and put into operation in November 2021.
