Japan to open borders to individual tourists

The Japanese authorities will allow individual tourists to enter the country from September 7, but travel agencies will still have to organize their trips.

It is assumed that in this case, travel agencies will know "the location of the tourist on a certain day."

This means that it will not be possible to plan a trip on your own — both the flight and the hotel must be issued through an agency.

The difference is that now you can go to Japan alone or together, and not as part of a tour group.

Tourists are warned that they will be denied entry if they want to stay in accommodation not offered by travel agencies in package tours: for example, in private apartments or mini-hotels. Also, tourists who do not book accommodation in advance will not be allowed to Japan.
